Shayna R. FriedenAssociate


Shayna focuses her practice in the areas of litigation, catastrophic personal injury, and criminal defense, including right-to-counsel issues, DUIs, and board advocacy for licensed professionals. She earned her law degree from ASU’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law and was admitted to practice in 2022, tying for first place on the Arizona bar exam.

Shayna R. Frieden

During law school, Shayna had a summer internship at Gallagher & Kennedy, working in many of the firm’s practice areas and gaining practical experience drafting demand letters and pleadings and handling commercial property disputes, commercial contract litigation, personal injury and wrongful death actions, and criminal defense. She also externed at the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One for Judge Bailey, was a Co-Student Director for Legislating Criminal Justice Reform, and was a Certified Limited Practice Student for the Public Defender Clinic.

Shayna was an O’Connor Honors Fellow and graduated law school with a certificate in trial advocacy. She earned CALI Excellence Awards in Appellate Advocacy, Bankruptcy, Plea Bargaining, Public Defender Clinic, Evidence, Constitutional Law, and Legal Method and Writing. Additional law school honors/awards include:
