Airline Industry Hit Hard by COVID-19 Pandemic
Airlines are being severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. An industry trade group for US Airlines has warned that the recent decision on travel restrictions would hit the U.S. airline industry extremely hard. Airlines in the US have forecasted the virus could threaten to wipe out between $63 billion and $113 billion in global airline revenues this year. European airlines are also struggling to assess how a U.S. move to ban travel between the country and mainland Europe will work in practice and how it will affect their operations, already hit hard by the coronavirus outbreak.
