After earning his law degree from the University of Idaho College of Law, Jonathan served as a judicial extern for the Honorable United States District Court Chief Judge David C. Nye and worked as a Deputy Criminal Prosecutor for Ada County in Boise.
During law school, he learned the intricacies of appellate work while serving as a judicial extern for the Honorable Justice Joel D. Horton at the Idaho Supreme Court. In addition to being selected Dean’s List, Jonathan was chosen by faculty to represent the University of Idaho College of Law at the Peggy Browning Fund Workers’ Rights Conference in Baltimore, Maryland. He advocated for survivors of domestic and sexual violence at the University of Idaho Family Justice Clinic and externed with the James A. & Louise McClure Center for Public Policy Research.
Jonathan speaks conversational Spanish and Mandarin Chinese, having learned the latter while living for two years in Taiwan. Away from the office, Jonathan and his wife enjoy camping with their four children. He is an avid music composer and sings Tenor in the Arizona Millennial Choirs and Orchestras.
